Mueller® App Now Features a QR Tag Reader
02/22/18 - Launched in 2015, the Mueller App helps distributors determine equivalent service brass part numbers and request certifications. Using the improved navigation of the new muellercompany.com website, the resource links are no longer necessary but the Mueller App now includes an integral QR tag reader. Users no longer have to download a separate app for scanning hydrant tags; they can use the app to scan the QR tag on any Mueller® or U.S. Pipe Valve & Hydrant® fire hydrant and obtain data specifically for that hydrant. Search for “Mueller” in the Apple App or Google Play store to download this handy app.
Jones® Triton™ Fire Hydrant Features Auxiliary Port in Dome Top
02/07/18 - Mueller Co. has introduced the Jones® Triton™ model J-4048 dome top wet barrel fire hydrant. The new dome top features an auxiliary port that can be used to access construction water, install pressure sensors, and more. In the event of an emergency, the horizontal hydrant nozzles remain fully accessible to the fire department or utility, even if the dome port is being used. This feature is also available as an option with the J-4065 model.This new dome top feature is also available as an option with the J-4065 model.

Mueller Water Products Strengthens West Coast Customer Service
02/05/18 - Effective January 1, 2018, Mueller Water Products has strengthened its service and support of customers in California and surrounding areas by acquiring the talent of Waterworks Components, LLC, its exclusive representative for the past ten (10) years. As a result, we would like to welcome Mike Burr, Tim Paxson, Suzie Gonzalez, Teri Martinez, Heidi Rolon, and Kathy Salinas to the Mueller family. According to Mike Burr, “We are excited to be official members of the Mueller Western Regional sales and customer service teams, the most dynamic and resourceful group in our industry. Our customers can now enjoy the full weight of the Mueller resources.”
The move is part of the Company’s overall plan to make doing business with Mueller Water Products easier.
“It’s really about owning the entire process and bringing a great group of individuals onboard as Mueller employees, given their excellent support and representation as a manufacturer’s representative for all these years,” stated Human Resources Manager Travis Banfield.
The Western Regional Customer Service office is located at the Company’s West Coast Warehouse in Ontario, California and operates Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm Pacific time. In addition to customer service, this Mueller facility also assembles Jones® wet barrel fire hydrants and has extensive stock of Jones and Mueller water distribution products. Western regional customers will continue to enjoy top-notch service but now have the complete support from and knowledge and experience of the Decatur Customer Service team.
Q&A Interview on Aging Water Infrastructure: Repair Or Replace

New Features on Mueller Swing Check Valves
12/20/17 - To meet the higher pressure requirements of today’s water infrastructure systems, all 2- to 12-inch Mueller UL/FM swing check valves are now rated at 350 psig cold working pressure (CWP). In addition, the product line has been expanded to include 2-, 14-, and 16-inch sizes (with the largest two sizes still rated at 250 psig CWP). Standard features of our UL-listed, FM-approved check valve product line now include: all ductile iron construction, bronze to BUNA seating, lifting rings, PN16 drilling, bosses for bypass connections, and a drain plug. Bluetooth® Programming Now Available for Hydro-Guard® Flushing Systems
11/13/17 - Imagine creating and changing flush events without a handheld controller; the KR-BL Bluetooth® programming solution for Hydro-Guard® flushing systems makes it a reality. This technology is available for use on all Hydro-Guard Flushing models and allows operators to use a smart phone (iOS and Android) to manage up to 24 different flush events. It also enables users to conduct manual flushes or change programming – all from up to 30 feet away. Now utility personnel have full control from the comfort of their service trucks.

New Mueller® Continuing Education Scholarship from AWWA
09/27/17 - Mueller® and the AWWA invest in the students of today to support the water sciences field of tomorrow.
In partnership with Mueller Co., the American Water Works Association (AWWA) is now offering a $5,000 scholarship for a water utility employee seeking his or her first bachelor’s degree in the water sciences field. In addition, AWWA will be offering many other scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students with funding ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 annually. The application deadline is January 9, 2018.
